The MorphoFinder™ function helps you find dictionary entries for English past participles, gerunds, plural forms of nouns and for Russian adjective forms. Unlimited voice synthesis in English is able to pronounce any text, not only dictionary entries. The transcription for English words is given in all dictionaries. Partner® X5 features a highly efficient full text translation system Lingvobit™. An English language dictionary and a Russian-German bidirectional dictionary are also included. The Partner® X5 allows you to create your own dictionary which automatically links to the Main Dictionary.
The Voice Phrasebook substitutes for a Russian or English interpreter in standard situations such as registering at a hotel, shopping, visiting a bank, etc. You simply choose the appropriate phrase from the book or say it in English or Russian, and the Partner® X5 will pronounce it for you in English, Russian or German. Over 1,100 phrases are arranged in 9 topics for easy reference.
The section for the learners of English includes an electronic English grammar book, a comprehensive TOEFL guide with sample tests, a linguistic game, a list of English irregular verbs and Learning Cards (flash cards) for easier words memorizing. The English Accent Correction section is also based on speech recognition technology. The Partner® X5 recognizes English phrases, compares the pronunciation with the standard and rates it as Excellent, Good or Poor.
A 2MB bilingual organizer includes a telephone directory, a memo, a calendar, a schedule, an anniversary list, an account manager, currency and metric converters, and a password access function. You can exchange data between your Partner® X5 and a personal computer to keep a backup copy of your organizer data. The shorthand function allows you to make notes with the stylus quickly. The digital voice recorder can record up to 8 minutes of speech. The comprehensive reference section features Travel Guide, English Names List, Local and World time with map illustration and Telephone Codes for more than 4,000 cities all over the world.
